Every race has stereotypes that it must endure and no matter how advanced out culture becomes these sweeping generalizations will always be present.
In another thousand years maybe race will no longer be a factor but I guarantee you that people genetically engineered in Lab A will think those from Lab B all have faulty RNA sequences and that is why they can’t drive.
But if you think about it not all stereotypes are bad there are some things that would be great if people simply assumed them about you. Like the assumption that Jewish people are all rich; I would love for people to look at me think I had money.
Imagine if you could choose the set of racial stereotypes you had to live with? If this was possible I think that all set and weighed, almost any man would go black. Except for black men of course, but given the same opportunity I don’t think they would switch.
First of all stereotypically it would be assumed that you have a huge advantage in the bedroom, if you catch my meaning, and what man would not want that assumption to be made about him?
It would also be automatically assumed that you are athletic, musically gifted and a great dancer; all things that are extremely attractive to women which is the primary goal of most males.
Even some of the bad black stereotypes are better than those of other races. For example: like it or not there is an innate fear of black men in many people, all be it unjustified, it does warrant a certain amount of respect. People automatically think you can kick their ass and whether you would or not, most men would not debate the assumption.
And finally sexual prowess; beyond the preconceived notions of what swings, according to the stereotypes black men have a lot of sex and as the rule goes he who does, gets.
So to review the advantages being seen through the black stereotype:
1. A huge wrench in the trouser tool box.
2. Superior athletic ability
3. Natural rhythm
4. Respect of others for fear of an ass kicking
5. Always getting laid
Of course it is just a stereotype, it does not mean any of those things are actually true and with the good you will also have to deal with all the blatantly negative generalizations.
But it is pretty obvious that the black stereotype has clear advantages over being seen as a Vienna sausage toting, clumsy, rythmless, weakling, 35 year old virgin. Or so I’ve heard!

As an English professor at the college level the emergence of Ebonics at first annoyed me to no end. However after really looking at it I realized that it was not just mispronunciation of words, there is a level of creativeness and symbolism that must admired. It is not a butchery of the English language, it is actually a testament to its flexibility.
Mastery of the english language really does not play into it. The "urban black" accent and vocabulary is one of the most emmulated amoung other races.
let's not forget their superior grammar and spelling skills…
