The resentment is still there. It has been for more than 150 years. The trouble is that every so often someone on either side of the border, with or without a justifiable motive or just for the heck of it, decides to fan the embers and provoke tensions between two neighboring countries. Ever since we lost more than half of our territory to the U. S. in mid nineteenth century recriminations arise with predictable regularity and we dream of getting even. Some time ago a numerous group of us got together and broached the subject. It was obvious we needed a plan so we decided to study our options.
Ideas and suggestions abounded and little by little we eliminated those that did nothing for our cause. Concentrating on the history of the United States during the past century a pattern began to emerge. During World War II the Allies, led by the U. S: defeated the Axis-Germany, Italy and Japan. After peace was achieved along came General George C. Marshall with a plan, named after him, to help put those nations back on their feet and convert them into economic partners and consumers of U. S. goods. It worked so well the economies of those countries flourished beyond anyones dreams. A few years later Koreas turn came. The nation was divided into north and south but the south allied with the Americans and became an industrial giant and competitor while the north famished. Were we on the right path?
Countless days and endless nights were spent searching for a feasible scenario. Concious of the need for secrecy, impeccable planning and military precision our best men were put to work on developing THE plan of action. Consultations were made on a daily basis. Slowly our dedication and efforts began to pay dividends. A plaussible plan was born. We would invade The United States!
This would require placing groups of men in the principal points of entry along our borders. Cities like Tijuana, Mexicali, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez, for example. They would be trained to act simultaniously, as we said before, with military precision. Since there was never the intent of hurting anyone, each man would carry only a toy gun or rifle. If any semblance of reality was required they were authorized to pop a few firecrackers but that was all. Our people were instructed to run into foreign terretory as fast as possible in 15 seconds, lay down their guns and surrender.
Being a country ruled by law, if our action was not taken seriously we have a right to demand equal treatment under law. The antecedents cited above for other countries are in our favor. We might have to hire very expensive lawyers but our triumph is worth it.
We meet to finalize our plans. The silence in the room was deafening. The enormity of our undertaking weighed heavily on all of us. Much sweating and wringing of hands, suddenly someone asked, “Guys, what happens if we win?”

Is this for real? Knowing American's, if I were Mexican I would not run across the U.S. with a toy gun and fire crackers. Good way to get killed!
